The Chair is regularly involved in discussions and exchange with policy-makers and governments.  

COP25, Madrid 2019

RESEC co-organised the official Swiss side event at the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) 25 in Madrid in December 2019. The topic was the implementation of the Article 2.1.c of the Paris Agreement. Lucas Bretschger gave a keynote, followed by a panel discussion with Stefan Schwager, member of Swiss delegation/ head of environmental financing; Janine Felson, member of Belize delegation and AOSIS Chair team; Barbara Schnell, Head of Sector Policy Department, KfW Development Bank; Christoph Bals, Policy Director, Germanwatch and Marte Borhaug, Global Head of ESG Investment Solutions, Aviva. The panel was moderated by Julia Bingler and Anna Stünzi from the RESEC Chair. external pageLink to flyer.

COP23, Cologne 2017

At the COP23 in Cologne, the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs (FDFA) organized a parallel event for the french-speaking society with the title: "La mise en œuvre des CDN". Anna Stünzi from the RESEC Chair gave a keynote on equity aspects of climate change mitigation responsibilities.
