Registration

Registration opens on 23.03.22 and closes on 13.04.22.

Registration is generally open only to presenters of a paper accepted for presentation at the conference. Due to capacity constraints we can host the presetenters of submitted papers only. Authors of accepted papers will be notified in March 2022. Accepted speakers will be asked to register within three weeks after notification in order to be included in the final programme.

Please note that the conference begins on Monday, 06.06.22, and ends on Thursday, 09.06.22, after breakfast. Hence, we recommend that you arrive on the 05.06.22 and to join for the welcome reception and dinner.

Please read the following instructions carefully before registering. If you have any questions concerning the procedure, please contact the conference secretariat before proceeding with your registration and board and lodging booking.

All the information below is for paying participants only. Invited speakers and organizers will receive information on their registration directly from the conference secretariat.

The procedure has 3 separate steps:

Step 1: Registration and payment of the conference registration fee (by credit card only)

Step 2: Meals booking and payment (by credit card only)

Step 3: Hotel booking and payment (by credit card only for rooms at the Hotel Monte Verità)

Step 1: Registration and payment of the conference fee

Conference fee (including access to all sessions, use of the facilities of the Centro including computer room and wireless internet connection) is CHF 200.00.

Fill in and submit the registration form.

Once the form is submitted a registration confirmation email will be sent to the address you input in the form. Please note that this is only a confirmation that the form has been sent correctly. It is no payment confirmation.

After submitting the form, you are directed to a secure credit card payment page, where you can pay the conference registration fee. Read and accept the Downloadterms and conditions (PDF, 193 KB), and input the appropriate amount and the credit card data to finish your payment.

Once the payment is done correctly you will get a confirmation email. This email will contain a code and the link that you will need to access the booking page for step 2.

Step 2: Meals booking and payment

Once you have paid the registration fee, go to the external pagemeals booking page of the Hotel Monte Verità website.

Input the code you received in your registration confirmation email to access the meals booking page.

The welcome drink, excursion and conference dinner, as part of the conference programme will be offered and paid for by the SURED Conference Organizers.

Participants have to book and pay for all the other meals: that meals package includes all coffee breaks, lunches and dinners, from dinner on Sunday June 5 until breakfast on Thursday June 9.

Please note that meals must be booked and paid for until the registration deadline.

After the registration deadline the meals booking platform will be closed and the restaurant will not accept any more bookings. If you cannot reserve a room at the conference venue (Hotel and Conference Centre Monte Verità) or should you prefer to arrange your accommodation outside Monte Verità, you will still have to book and pay for meals, and coffee breaks on the dedicated webpage of the conference venue external pageexternal pagehttp://shop2.monteverita.org/en/code. Access is granted by inserting the code you received at the time of registration.

The cancellation policy for booked meals is dictated by the payment conditions of the Hotel and Conference Centre Monte Verità. Those are given on the Hotel Web page at the moment of booking and payment.

Once the meals booking and payment is successfully finished, you will be directed to Monte Verità’s hotel booking page step 3.

Step 3: Hotel booking and payment

You can either book your room at the Hotel Monte Verità (the conference venue) or in a different hotel in Ascona. Be aware that from the town centre (post office), it is about a 20-30 minute walk uphill to reach the conference venue.

Please note

Availability of single rooms is limited and some have a shared bathroom. Please read the rooms descriptions carefully.
If you wish to book a shared double room with a colleague, both names must be mentioned at the time of booking.
We have reserved some double rooms for those participants who want to share with any other participant. Please contact us at .

The cancellation policy for booked bedrooms at Hotel Monte Verità is dictated by the payment conditions of the Hotel and Conference Centre Monte Verità. Those are given on the Hotel Web page at the moment of booking and payment.

Other hotels in Ascona

You can refer to your favourite online booking portals to search what better fits your wishes and budget. Check carefully the hotel location and distance from Monte Verità (type in „Fondazione Monte Verità Ascona“ in google maps) and be advised that Monte Verità is on a hill about 100 meters above Ascona. From the town centre (post office), it is about a 20 minute walk uphill to reach the conference venue. There is limited public transport between Ascona and Monte Verità, with a schedule that is not convenient with the starting of the conference in the morning.

Hotels in Ascona that have been used for Monte Verità conferences in the past are: Hotel Luna & Hotel La Perla.

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hotel Luna and Hotel La Perla for SURED conference participants. And if required, we will organize a shuttle service for the morning transfers from the hotels to the conference venue.
